01. Valmikhi Ramayana Talk at Singapore (V.Purushothaman, Hony., Reporter, Singapore)

Singapore, Sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple and Sri Vadapathira Kaliamman Temple, under the auspices of Singapore Hindu Endowment Board has jointly organised Valmiki Ramayana Talk in english by Bhakthi Bharathi Pujyasri Prema Pandurang, from March 26th to 1st April 07 at sri Srinivasa Perumal Temple P G P Kalyana Mandapam Hall.

01. Jayashethra 1st anniversary ( V.Murali, Singapore)

First year anniversary of Jayashethra was celebrated at bukit batok community club in Singapore.

Children aged from 3 years to 7 years staged "krishna vijayam" dance drama choreograhed by the founder and teacher of Jayashethra MRS.SHOWBINYA KARTHIKEYAN.

01. Valentines Day Pattimandram at Singapore (V.Purushothaman, News Reporter, Singapore )

Singapore,Henderson Inthiya Narpani Seyarkuzhu ( Indian Activity Activity Executive Committee ) has organised Valentine’s Day Pattimandram on 25.02.07 at Serangoon road Umar Pulavar Tamil language Centre. Literary section secretary, Thiru Rajeed welcomes the gathering.

The spl., feature of the Patti mandram was that the organisers has introduced the real love pair, Thiru.P.Ezhil and Thirumathi. Sowmia as speakers.

Under the leadership of Thiru.P.Sivakumar, Thirumathi. Sowmia and thiru.Senthilnathan spoke on " Vekumathikal Illatha Kaathal Vetri Perum".( Love will suceed only without gifts).

Under the leadership of Dr, Rethina Venkatesan, Thiru.P.Ezhil and Thiru.Sevagan counter argued saying that love will succeed only with gifts.( Vekumathikal Illatha Kaathal Vetri Peraathu ).

Naduvar of the Pattimandram was Thirumathi, Meenakshi Sabapathi.

Thiru. Kandanur Sasi spoke on " Ilackiyathil Kaathal ".

Naduvar Meenakshi Sabapathi declared that love will succeed only with gifts.

Thirumathi Sowmialatha Ezhil was elected as best speaker by the audience. Thiru.K.Sivadoss, presented " Sathya Sothanai " written by Mahathma Gandhi to all the speakers and Naduvar.

Large number of Tamil lovers participated and enjoyed the patti mandram.

01. Singapore Dance Artiste at Chidambaram Natyanjali Programme (V.Purushothaman, News Reporter, Singapore )

Mrs.Reavathi Rajan,popular Dance Artiste of Singapore has performed and participated in the Mahasivarathiri Natyanjali Inaugural Day on 16.02.07 at Chidambaram.

Mrs. Rajan is the Director of Shivani Dance Troup, Singapore. Last Navarathiri Day She was conducted 9 Dance programmes at various popoular temples at Singapore. Her mesmerizing dance mudras attracted and created thousands of her fans. Somany budding dance stars of Singapore are her products.

On the inaugural day Dance performance, Mr. Shanmughasundaram was on the Nattuvangam, Mr. Meena Sunder on the vocal, Mr. Suresh on the effects, Mr. Kannan on theKeyboard, Mr.Venugopal on violin and Mr.Raghu on Mridangam.

Mrs. Rajan is also a Dance teacher and she teaches at various C.C.s like Woodlands Community Club.

01.Mahasivarathiri Mahotsavam at Singapore : (V.Purushothaman, News Reporter, Singapore )

Mahasivarathiri Mahotsavam was celebrated in a very grand manner at Singapore Temples. Marsilling Sri Siva-Krishna Temple has organised Mahasivarathiri for Sri Vishalakshi Ambika Samedha Sri Viswanatha Swamy for four kalam (times ) spl poojas from 5.00p.m., on 16.02.07 to 7.30 a.m., 0n 17.02.07. Sri Siva Peruman was decorated beautifully by Nagaraja Sivachariar was attracted by everybody.Avahana Poojai,Kalasa Poojai Paalkuda Poojai, Sri Rudra Thirisadai Homam and Sri Panja Ashthira Homam was performed by the chief priest Gurumurthi Sivachariar. Devotees overflowed the whole night in the temple. 
" Thennadu udaya Sivanae potri, Ennattavaruckum Iraiva potri sarana kosham hits the sky. ( vinnai pilanthathu ).

Thevara Innisai was performed by the Siva-Krishna Innisai Kuzhu and Thirupughzh Mahalir Kuzhu.The arrangements made by the chairman of the managing committee Thiru. A.Sivalingam was appreciated by every one. Large number of devotees attended and received the devine blessings of Lord Siva.

01. Universal Peace Day at Kualalampur : (V.Purushothaman, News Reporter, Singapore )

Malaysia unit of Universal Peace Foundation celebrates Maharishi Paranjothi Mahan’s Jayanthi Day celebrations as Universal Peace Day on 11/02/2007 at Kala Mandapam hall, Scott Road, Brick Fields Kualalampur, in the presence of His Holiness Jagath Guru Mahamaharishi Paranjothiar.

In a world where cultural, Racial and religious beliefs often collide, Universal Peace Day aims to be a multi – faith event that transcends these seemingly insurmountable hindrances. It is the day of celebrating our differences as well as our joint concerns and aspirations for our versions of life and its harmonious nuances.

His holiness Jagath Guru Mahamaharishi Paranjothiar welcomed by 8 children with lamps in hand lit by Guruji.

Dr. Saras welcomes Guru Mahan and the gathering. Mahilir Mamani Datin Indrani Samyvellu light up the lamp by mark of opening the vizha and delivered her special address. In her speech she pointed out that the Thirumurthi hills, where Guru Mahan stays is a holy place like Himalayas and it is the place where eternal peace and everlasting pleasure spreads to the whole world.

Thiru. M.A. Sundararaman, General Secretary of the Universal Peace Foundation, India narrated the glimpse of activities of the foundation. Bharatha Natyam performance by Anitha & Rebeeca was received great applause from audience.

Guru Mahan appreciated the dance performance and explained the philosophy behind the Bharatha Natyam, its dresses, ornaments and Mudras. Guru Mahan honored Dathin Indrani by presenting Ponnadai.

In his spiritual discourse, Guru Mahan pointed out by quoting Bhavad Geetha, Upanishad etc, emphasis the motto, "Ondrae Kulam, Oruvanae Devan". (Mind is a temple, the body is holy Aalayam) "Ullam Oru Koil – Oonudambae Aalayam". He pointed out the ultimate aim of every human being is to attain everlasting peace, happiness and merge of all of it in a "Bliss of Eternal Entity". He said that this perfect understanding and realization of ones Self can be the permanent solution for all problems of any individual and humanity as a whole.

He said that one "Divine Noble Sole" , the sky response with rainfall for the entire humanity. Based on this noble concept, "Mahaa Sri Yogam has been formulated to make one percent of the world population as spiritually awakened souls for the welfare of the remaining population our earth.About 10,000 disciples all over from Malaysia & Singapore attended and received the Divine Blessings of Guru Mahan.

02. Pongal celebration by Malaysia Flower farm Tamil workers :

Pongal vizha was celebrated in Malaysia Lee Flower Farm by Tamil workers. They are celebrated pongal with traditional games.

Singapore Thamizhavel Narpani Mandram has jointly organised with Little India Varthaka and Marapudaimai Sangam ( Little India Shop-keepers and Heritage Association )Pongal Kaviyarangam under the leadership of Poet PICHINICKADU Elango at campbell lane, Little India.Poets, Thiru. Mahesh Kumar, Mu. Sevagan, Malarvizhi Elangovan, Thirumurugan and Thirumathi. Mathangi participated.
Minister of Trade and Industry Thiru. S.Iswaran, Chief Guest honoured the poets by presenting beautiful mementos. Large number of tamil lovers attended.
