திருநெல்வேலி : நெல்லையில் வெட்டுக்காயங்களுடன் உயிருக்கு போராடிய எஸ்.ஐ., வெற்றிவேலை காப்பாற்ற ஆம்புலன்சுக்காக அமைச்சர்கள், சுகாதாரத்துறை அதிகாரிகள் காத்திருந்தனர். தங்களுடன் வந்த வாகனம் ஒன்றில் முதலிலேயே எஸ்.ஐ.,யை மருத்துவமனைக்கு அனுப்ப முயற்சிக்கவில்லை.
திருநெல்வேலி மாவட்டம், ஆழ்வார்குறிச்சி எஸ்.ஐ., வெற்றிவேல்(43), நேற்று முன்தினம் ஆம்பூர் அருகே ஒரு கும்பலால் அரிவாளால் வெட்டியும், வெடிகுண்டுகள் வீசியும் கொலை செய்யப்பட்டார். சுகாதாரத் துறை அமைச்சர் பன்னீர்செல்வம், சுற்றுச்சூழல் அமைச்சர் மைதீன்கான் ஆகியோர் அம்பாசமுத்திரத்தில் இருந்து தென்காசி செல்லும் வழியில் ஆம்பூர் அருகே இந்த கோர சம்பவம் நடந்தது. அமைச்சர்களுடன் பாதுகாப்பிற்கு சென்ற போலீசார் குற்றவாளிகளை துரத்திச்சென்று துப்பாக்கிச் சூடு நடத்தியும் அவர்கள் தப்பிவிட்டனர். எஸ்.ஐ., வெற்றிவேல் வெட்டுக்காயங்களுடன் நடுரோட்டில் உயிருக்கு போராடிக் கொண்டிருந்தார். ஆனால் அமைச்சர்கள், கலெக்டர் ஜெயராமன், சுகாதார உயர் அதிகாரிகளுடன் அத்தனை வாகனங்கள் இருந்தும், 108 வாகனம் வருவதற்காக காத்திருந்தனர்.
தன்னை காப்பாற்றும்படி கைகளை தூக்கி வெற்றிவேல் மன்றாடினார். அமைச்சர் பன்னீர் செல்வத்தின் உதவியாளர், தண்ணீர் பாட்டிலை அவரிடம் நீட்டினார். வெற்றிவேல் கையை நீட்டவும், அவரின் ரத்தம் தன் மீது பட்டுவிடுமோ என உதவியாளர்கள் ஒதுங்கிக் கொண்டனர். நடுரோட்டில் இரண்டு முறை எழ முயற்சித்தும் முனகல் சத்தத்துடன் முடியாமல் வெற்றிவேல் வீழ்ந்தார். அவரின் உயிர் போராட்டம், பார்த்தவர்களை சங்கடப்படுத்தியது. வெற்றிவேல் பிற்பகல் 2.40 மணிக்கு வெட்டப்பட்டார். 20 நிமிடங்களுக்கு பிறகே அமைச்சர்களின் பாதுகாப்பு வாகனத்தில் அவர் கொண்டுசெல்லப்பட்டார். சிறிது தூரம் சென்றபின், எதிரே வந்த ஆம்புலன்சில் ஏற்றி அம்பாசமுத்திரம் அரசு மருத்துவமனைக்கு கொண்டு செல்லப்பட்டார்.

| All of your comments are all welcome. It is unfortunate that this SI severely mutilated died agonising and no one took an initative to take him to hospital and save his life. But, it is unfortunate also to note that an ordinary man before doing any help to anyone almost alike all of us put himself a question? Is it my job? and if something goes wrong my responsibility may be claimed and why to get involved....I think it was the fundamental duty of the govt officials, minister, collector who where present on the spot(with may vehicles) to take immediate action. That is strongly condemnable and deserves a punishement. And how about their responsibilty? In case of any road or train accident, we read every day, the local people who witness naturally offers their help. Please let us not blame so fast and easily all of us.

| I heard about this incident of ministers Spectatorship and i did not get to watch the TV news so logged onto NDTV to watch the incident....which is so shame to watch and ADVERTISEMENT before this video.....and the news reader says it was captured by an amature videographer i dont understand why the hell this media people did not help as well and they are so intrested in capturing the live action..where is the humanatarianism here by the press and media first...and they have got good publicity costing one life....secondly the wearing helmet should be banned which cost his life .........and all the other public servant did their job as the press and media...did....whom are u going to blame? Until now TN government didn''t take any action against the one (minister, collector and polices) who were watching that sad incident. In the interview to CNN IBN Health secretary VK Subburaj said that the Policeman''s body was in so bad condition that they can not take him in any vehicle by themselves. What did police learnt in the police trainining? Were not they trained for this kind of situation and to give first aids? It means there is something seriously wrong in the police training. I wonder whether Subburaj will behave the same way, if the person who suffered there is going to be his family members. Until now I thought our Indian government is not able to save the NRIs living in Australia seems the government (Ministers, collector and police) is not able to save the people living in India itself. Either government has to take serious action against these people or we have to join our hands together and protest this kind of action.

| My deepest condolence to Late Mr. Vettrivel''''''''s family கடவுள் தான் காப்பாற்ற வேண்டும் தமிழ் நாட்டை... !! சம்பவ இடத்தில இருந்த மனிதாபிமானம் இல்லாத அனைவரையும் பணியிலிருந்து நீக்க வேண்டும். உயிருக்கு போராடி அதுவழியாக வந்த அமைச்சர்களை இருகரம்கூப்பி மன்றாடியும் தக்க நேரத்தில் உதவாத அமைச்சர்கள் அமைச்சர்களல்ல அவர்கள் மனித .......... அமைச்சர் பதவியிருந்து உடனடியாக நீக்கப்படவேண்டும். அனால் நீக்கப்பட மாட்டர்கள். காரணம் அவர்கள் கொடுக்க வேண்டிய மாமூலை கொடுக்க வேண்டியவர்களிடம் கொடுத்து விடுவார்கள். இது தமிழகத்தின் சாபக்கேடு. இந்த சம்பவத்திற்கு பிறகாவது நமது மக்கள் ஐநூறுக்கும் ஆயிரத்திற்கும் விலை போகாமல் நல்ல தலைவர்களை தேர்ந்தெடுக்க வேண்டும். இதுபோல் கல்நெஞ்சம் படைத்தவர்கள் நாட்டை கூறுபோட்டு விற்கவும் தயங்க மாட்டார்கள்.

If this the their attitude/responce to govenment official in a life and death situation, one can immage how a downtrodden man will be suffering in hands of these inhuman officials. The Chief Minister and the Chief Secretary should take moral responsibility for this incidence and uphold high morals in the society.

| It is a shame on us! For keeping this politicians around! The police should realize now that the politicians they are kissing ass will do nothing for them when they really need help. Karunanidhi and family is only worried about taking control of rest of TN properties - they already own most of it withing their family. The sad thing is the alternative - Jeyalaitha, Ramadoss etc are not any better. Unless people raise up, nothing is going to change - will only get worse. I feel ashamed - not being a Tamilian, but the state my race is in.

This is the second incident happened after law collage students attack in TN(i.e the TN Police did not help to the public and their colleage also). As a CM please make sure public safety also considered in your period. TN Police says that they are public friend,first they should be friend for their colleage. Media, Pls do not make Publicity/money by showing these kind of video.You can also help public. whatever happened till now ok. Please try to help our public from next time onwards.

| Rules related to help people who met with accidents and these incidents should be changed. Public used to be afraid of helping for facing police questions and enquiry. But now it is unfortunate to see Ministers, Police, Photographers & Reporters (Responsible and powerful persons) watching a person dying. They should have given First Aid and taken him to nearest hospital. With their convey, they would have reached much faster than Ambulance (who is allowed to travel when minister passing by!). This incident should wake the Police and administration to encourage public to come forward to help the victims. What is harm in helping a victim compared to “so called” crime scene evidence destruction? Administration should come forward to encourage people to help the victims. May his soul rest in Peace.

| உயிருக்கு போராடும் மனிதனுக்கு மடியில் கிடத்தி தண்ணீர் கொடுத்தால் அணிந்திருக்கும் உடை அழுக்காகி விடும். ஆகவே ஒரு மிருகத்துக்கு கொடுப்பது போல் தள்ளி நின்று கொடுக்கிறார் ஒரு அரசு அதிகாரி. இரண்டு அமைச்சர்கள், ஒரு கலெக்டர், மற்றும் பல அரசு அதிகாரிகள் நின்று கொண்டு ஆம்புலன்ஸ் வரும் வரை வேடிக்கை பார்த்து கொண்டு இருந்திருக்கின்றனர். ஏன் இவர்கள் வாகனங்களில் ஏதேனும் ஒன்றில் ஏற்றி சென்றிருந்தால் ஒரு உயிரை காப்பாற்றி இருக்கலாம் அல்லவா. குறைந்த பட்சம் உயிருக்கு போராடும் அந்த மனிதனை ரோட்டில் இருந்து தூக்கி அங்கிருந்த ஏதேனும் ஒரு வாகனத்தில் ஆம்புலன்ஸ் வரும் வரை வைத்து இருக்கலாமே? ஒரு உயிரை காப்பாற்ற சமயோசிதமாக யோசிக்க தவறிய அல்லது மறந்த இந்த அனைவரையுமே பாரபட்சம் இன்றி பதவி நீக்கம் செய்ய வேண்டும். ஒரு உயிரை காப்பாற்றுவதில் யோசிக்க தெரியாத அல்லது முடியாதவர்கள் ஒரு மாவட்ட அல்லது தமிழ்நாட்டின் மக்களையா காப்பாற்றபோகிறார்கள்? முட்டாள்கள், அறிவிளிகள், மனிதநேய மற்றவர்கள். கொலைகாரர்கள், மூடர்கள்.................. நெஞ்சு பொறுக்குதில்லையே இந்த நிலை கேட்ட மாந்தரை நினைத்து விட்டால்................

| நிச்சயம் தண்டிக்கப்பட வேண்டியவர்கள், கொலையாளிகளை விட, இரண்டு அமைச்சர்களும், கலெக்டர் மற்றும் சுற்றியிருந்த காவல் துறையினரும் தான். அவரை தங்களுடன் ஒரே துறையில் பணிபுரியும் அலுவலர் என்ற முறையில் காப்பாற்ற வேண்டாம், சாதாரணமான ஒரு மனிதன் என்ற முறையிலாவது, காவல் துறையினர் நினைத்திருந்தால் ஓர் உயிரைக் காப்பாற்றி இருக்கலாம். அமைச்சர்களும், கலெக்டர் மற்றும் பல அதிகாரிகளும் வந்த பின்னும் ''இருபது'' நிமிடங்களுக்குப் பிறகு தான் அவரை வாகனத்தில் ஏற்றி காப்பாற்ற முயற்சிக்கின்றனர். இதைப் பார்க்கும் போது, ஒரு வேளை இவர்கள் அவரின் உயிர்ப் பிரிவதை வேடிக்கைப் பார்க்க வந்தனரோ என்று எண்ணத் தோன்றுகின்றது? ஒரு துணை காவல் ஆய்வாளருக்கே இந்த நிலைமை என்றால், சாதாரண மக்களுக்கு என்ன பாதுகாப்பு? எங்கே செல்கின்றது நம் தமிழகம்? மனித நேயம் இருக்கின்றதா இல்லை மடிந்து விட்டதா?

| It is the officials who are responsible for the whole pitiable scene. An IAS officer must be able to take quick and valid decision. Being in the scene of crime, he would have acted swiftly. I really wonder how such people made up to the most coveted position. It seems that the collector has given an interview, in which he has told that it was just a 10 minutes delay. Its not just 10 minutes delay, its the help denied. Not only the delayed justice relates to denied justice, its also the delayed help which equals to denied help. Whatever has happened is really heart breaking. The court should take it as suo motto , and act accordingly.

Forget about Ministers as we know they are corruptors and temporary job holders but what the Health Secretary, Dist. Collector duties and responsibilities. As a government employee, I am feeling very ugly about Collector and Secretary''s reaction on this incident. | I was really shocked after seen this news in Australia. Any accidents happened in normal situation our general public will take quick action and try to save the life of person. I don’t know why it was not done in this case. Reason could be shooting of video by Freelancer. Might be scared for the legal consequences. The first person to be punished is the Freelancer. In my opinion The collector and Ministers have miserably failed in their solemn duties. And I strongly insist the Chief Minister to address this issue in a serious manner.

I do not understand how could police move about on their own.it is universal that they move in twos. I have seen someone giving water to the victim as he was lying down with severe blood loss. Rule no:1 DO NOT GIVE WATER TO THE VICTIMS WHEN THERE IS A SEVERE BLOOD LOSS -AS IT HAMPERS THE RECOVERY PROCESS AS THE SURGERY TIME WILL BE DEFERRED DUE TO CONSUMPTION OF WATER AND IT TURNS OUT TO BE FATAL IN THIS CASE.

My eyes were filled with tears having seen the NDTV videos. Paneerselvam, Mohideen khan and Thirunelveli collector should be punished and terminated from their post.

Who ever who talks about ''Sattam'' , ''Ozhungu'' etc...are all least cared about the person who lost his life... | அந்த பதைபதைக்கும் கட்சியை தினமலர் வீடியோ காலரியில் பார்த்தபோது கண்களில் கண்ணீர் பெருகியது. ஒரு போலீஸ்காரர்கே இந்த கதி என்றால், நம் நாட்டில் மக்களின் உயிர்க்கு மதிப்பே இல்லை என்பதை தான் இது காட்டுகிறது. நம் மக்களின் மனிதாபிமானம் எங்கே தொலைந்தது? இதில் அமைச்சரும் வேடிக்கை பார்த்தது கொடுமையிலும் கொடுமை. இந்த அமைச்சரின் பாதுகாப்பிற்கு தானே இந்த போலீஸ்காரர் வந்தார். இரண்டு மாதங்களுக்கு முன் கலெக்டரே மயங்கி விழுந்த ஒரு முதியவருக்கு மருத்துவம் பார்த்த செய்தியை படித்தபோது வந்த சந்தோசத்தை ஒரு நொடியில் கரைத்து விட்டார்களே இந்த சண்டாளர்கள். கடவுளே!!! கொஞ்சம் மனிதபிமனத்தை மக்களுக்கு கொடு.
