Chennai: Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in Gujarat has signed an MoU with Punjab Police at their Chandigarh headquarters, initiating a strategic collaboration to enhance law enforcement capabilities.
This partnership focuses on comprehensive training across key policing areas.
Under the MoU, RRU will provide a variety of training formats—classroom, virtual, and hybrid—tailored to address modern challenges. Programs will cover diverse topics:
Women in Policing: Emphasizing women's empowerment and their roles in law enforcement.
Cybercrime Strategies: Advanced methods to tackle digital threats.
Blockchain and Cryptocurrency: Insights on financial technologies' impact on criminal activities.
Financial Fraud Prevention: Techniques to counter economic crimes.
Drone Surveillance: Training on drone use for surveillance.
Counterterrorism: Strengthening responses to terrorism.
VIP Security Protocols: Enhancing protocols for VIP protection.
Language Proficiency: Improving communication with diverse communities.
The signing ceremony saw the presence of RRU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Kalpesh H. Wandra and Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav, IPS. Prof. Wandra expressed gratitude for this partnership, highlighting its potential for impactful knowledge-sharing and skill enhancement.
This collaboration underscores RRU's commitment to public safety through specialized education, aiming to equip Punjab's police with the skills needed for effective policing amidst evolving security demands.
