New Delhi: An international seminar that will focus on researches done on the relationship between Sanskrit and European languages will be held in the capital.
The two-day seminar, being organised by Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, will commence on October 9.
It will see 11 international scholars from European countries like Spain, Lithuania, Italy and Bulgaria engaging in academic deliberations with their Indian counterparts, said Ashok Pradhan, director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.
Shashibala, head, centre of Indology, BVB, said, "The last two seminars hosted by us were on topics 'Sanskrit and the Silk Route' and 'Sanskrit in the Maritime Route'. Sanskrit is the oldest language and it has contributed to cultures and civilisations of the world."
