Chennai: Niva Bupa Health Insurance has launched the Niva Bupa Insurance Academy, a nationwide learning and development initiative aimed at transforming insurance advisory into a skilled, knowledge-driven profession.

The academy seeks to upskill over one million advisors, equipping them with product expertise, customer-centric communication, digital selling abilities and claims-handling confidence. The initiative supports IRDAI's vision of achieving “Insurance for All by 2047.”

Positioned as a one-stop learning hub, the academy will train advisors to recommend suitable products based on customer needs and life stages, assist policyholders during claims, and build trust through seamless support. The training framework blends classroom modules with e-learning to ensure accessibility across regions.

Anchored in Niva Bupa's purpose of making quality healthcare accessible to every Indian, the academy aims to develop advisors as “Health Captains” — trusted guides who educate families and strengthen financial protection at the grassroots. The initiative is also aligned with the company's philosophy of “Kaam Main Shaan Hai,” celebrating the role of advisors in expanding health insurance reach.

Announcing the launch, Ankur Kharbanda, Executive Director & Chief Business Officer, said the academy would build a digitally enabled, capability-led advisory force essential for advancing India's financial protection landscape.

Niva Bupa currently serves over 23 million lives, operates 209 branches, works with an extensive partner network, and consistently maintains a 90%+ claim settlement ratio, reaching 95.2% in Q2 FY26.
