30th year Kumbhabhishekham of Hindu Temple of San Antonio’s was spread over five day celebration. It was like blessings from all gods from heaven.

In Hindu Temple of San Antonio Mahashivaratri was grandly celebrated. After the regular pooja was over, during the whole day Shiva Archanas continued with full fervor.

 

Auckland Tamil Association arranged a music programme of Sangeetha kalaimamani Madurai, G.S.Mani, about Sangeethamum Cinemavum. Ashokmallur was accompanied him in Violin, Ikram Singh Tapala from Wellington and Pravick Mysurya, played the harmonium.

In San Antonio, Mr.Syed the owner of 'Mustafa Asian and Middle Eastern Grocery Stores', gathered a group of people, without any caste and creed paid their tributes to the departed soldiers.

 

As usual Youth Festival was celebrated with enthusiastic participants this year too in HongKong. Indian dances of various forms, Bharathanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, bollywood, yoga, folk and fusion, you name it, it was performed on that day.

In Warsaw, Poland, Indian ambassador Tsewang Namgyal on the occasion of the 70th Republic Day of India hoisted the tri-colour and read the address of the President of India

 

This year the Indian Republic Day celebrations were more enthusiastic as it was celebrated along with 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Mr. Puneet Agrawal, Consul General of India hoisted the flag and read President's message.

Thaipoosam celebration in Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple, Carrum Downs, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in the fine evening few hundreds of devotees participated in the event,( milk ,kavadi, ther).

Tamil communities that are living at Dublin gathered for Pongal Celebration last Saturday, where the people indulged authentic Indian food along with sweet pongal served in banana leaf. Kids and Adults took a part of the traditional games that were conducted post lunch.

History : Thiruvalluvar Tamil Valarchik Kazhakam had its humble beginnings in the mid 1900 as an informal gathering of the early Tamil migrants from the Karambakkudi Taluk in Tamil Nadu, comprising of some 40 odd small villages.
