LET ME GO - Book Launch in Auckland

Shriram Iyer’s second novel LET ME GO –Book launch event was held on Sunday 5 August at SHIVANI rest aurant, Papatoetoe, Auckland. 

Shriram a marketing consultant by profession, a professional singer and a renowned writer was delighted to talk about his second book LET ME GO to the interested audience.

The event was well attended by academicians, politicians, prominent members of the Indian community, book lovers and well wishers who congratulated Shriram on his

Creative pursuit

Labour party MPs Michael Wood and Priyanca Radhakrishnan and National party MP Kanwaljit Bakshi, Ranjna Patel  prominent community leader spoke on the achievements of Shriram. Shivani Arora owner of the restaurant spoke about her association with Shriram for the past 15 years as a sponsor for Shriram’s music and writing projects. 

Priyanca Radhakrishnan spoke about the book LET ME GO and quoted a few excerpts from the book. It was nice of her to take out sometime and read the book and then present her views to the audience about the book

The Q and A session conducted by Rajesh Krishnamurthi was very well received by the audience

The enlightened audience asked Shriram many interesting questions about his journey of publishing a book in India.

The book LET ME GO was published by FINGER PRINTS in November 2017

The book has been well received in India and is available on AMAZON INDIA

And the book has been rated highly by GOOD READS. 

The audience congratulated him on this great accomplishment who have always showed their support and solidarity in all his ventures.

Shriram a Kiwi Indian thanked them whole heartedly and said he was always happy to come to Auckland. 

Rajesh Krishnamurthi who conduted the Q and A session so well even remarked

“You can take Shriram out of Auckland but you cannot take Auckland out of Shriram”(Shriram currently lives in Melbourne)

Shriram has received Shankar’s International award f or creative writing from the President of India. 

LET ME Go is based on the theme of friendship. The novel explores the concept of how far a friend is prepared to go for another. 

People who are interested in buying a copy can get it in book stores in all big cities of India 

At the request of the audience Shriram sang a song, an old Hindi melody “ Pukaruta  Chala hoo mei “

The lovely Kritika Satija proposed a vote of thanks 

The event came to an end with everyone having refreshments.

Many book lovers bought the book at the event to show their support  which were signed by Shriram.
