Dear Muruga Devotees,

Due to the announcement made yesterday with regard to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, the Management Committee of our temple has made the following decision.

Effective immediately our NZ Thirumurugan Temple will be closed for general public until further notice.

It is important for all of us – including our Temple to do our part in containing this pandemic by following the guidelines issued. This is also important to safeguard the welfare of our devotees and our kurukkal iyahs during this testing time.

We kindly request all to respect this decision and pray to the Almighty from the safety of our homes. Let’s pray for Lord Muruga’s blessings and guidance through this difficult time.

In addition, The Management committee also wishes to make the following announcements:

Please note that all daily Arathi & Poojas for the deities will be performed by our Kurukkal Iyahs behind closed doors

Pannum Bharathamum – this function scheduled for the 4th April is now postponed until further notice.

Devotees can continue to request for archanai and abhishekam to be done on their behalf.

Archanai:

You can book archanai by email. Please email with your details: nzmurugantemple@xtra.co.nz

Please note – you will not be able attend this.

Abhishekam:

You can book abhishekam by telephone (we need more details).

Please call Jeje on 021 269 7826 OR 09 625 5125

Please take care and stay safe.
