Vanaja Palaniandy was born on 11th April 1968 at Taiping, Perak Hospital. She started her studies at Gangga Primary School in Beruas, Perak. She pursued her secondary education in SMK Raja Shahriman, Beruas, Perak and SMK Main Convent, Ipoh. She did her Form Six in Methodist High School, Ipoh.



She worked as an attachment teacher in a few Tamil schools and a secondary school in Perak. She was offered in the teachers’ training college in Maktab Perguruan Kinta, Ipoh. Then, her first posting was in SJK Tamil Tun Sambanthan, Sungai Siput (U), Perak. After she was married to Mr. Mahendran.



she was transferred to SJK Tamil Ldg Chembong, Negeri Sembilan. She worked in a few schools such as; SJK Tamil Ladang Labu Bahagian (IV), SJK Tamil Ladang Kombok, Rantau and finally, she is working now in SJK Tamil, Ladang Senawang since 2011.



Her marriage life was bloomed with two girls. These girls were her wonderful gift by lord because she was inspired by living through a battle in her life because of these two girls. She was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in 2013. She was not prepared herself for the surgery and yet she was motivated by herself to battle the war just for her girls. She had a strong thought of living for them with all the hard time in the hospitals undergo painful tests and treatments. She was amazed by her colleagues that she could survive and be with them to continue her job. She was also motivated by her school management, teachers, friends, and family members.



In her service for the last 23 years, she has made a lot of contributions and sacrifices for the school. 

She was a great motivator and inspired many of her students to succeed in their life. She was well –known language teacher among her students. She has created many professionals. She was awarded as a Guru Cemerlang twice along with her service. She is also a donor for MAKNA and UNICEF. She has also contributed to her students who are financially not stable to buy them books and their needing.



Madam Vanaja never fails herself to be a trainer for competitions and tournaments. She has made herself fit and steady by hiding her illness to make herself challenging among her colleagues. Many young generations were inspired by her hard work and efficiency in her job. Her motto is to be the best of the best person and work without failure.
