Yesterday in Stalins birthday meeting in Chennai, as usual, the same four opposition parties leaders started talking about unity among them to oppose BJP in 2024. But this time two new additional messages came, one is from Congress confirming there is no leading or PM candidate in Congress party. This is a good and welcome announcement. But the second from Farooq Abdullah, who has gone much extent by telling Stalin is fit for PM candidate. As a party, DMKs many policies were opposed by few leaders within congress and even few other parties in national level also. Hence this will lead to another split, if Stalins name is pressed again as PM candidate. Other opposition leaders, who have not attended and are already in PM race, though likes Stalin for some personal reasons, are yet to make their opinion about this. Moreover, even if we presume DMK alliance wins all the 40 seats in TN, then also DMKs personal strength/contribution may not be more than 20 , in a house of 540 members how such a low numbered party can be allowed to lead a democratic believes country. பிரதமரின் 2016 பணமதிப்பிழப்பு நடவடிக்கைக்கு ஆதரவாக உச்சநீதிமன்றம் வழங்கிய தீர்ப்பு, இந்தியாவில் உள்ள அனைத்து எதிர்க்கட்சி களுக்கும் பெரும் அடியாக உள்ளது, குறிப்பாக இந்த விவகாரத்தில் பிரதமரை மட்டும் குறிவைத்து வந்த சிதம்பரம் போன்ற காங்கிரஸ் தலைவர்களுக்கு பெரிய அதிர்ச்சியாகும். மக்கள் பிரதமரின் செயலை ஆதரித்தார்கள் எனீபதையும் ஆதரிக்கிறார்கள் என்பதையும் 2016க்கு பின் நடைபெற்ற பல்வேறு மாநில சட்டசபை தேர்தல்களிலும் 2019 நாடாளுமன்ற தேர்தலிலும் அளித்த பெருவாரியான ஓட்டுக்களே பெரிய சாட்சி. இனிமேலும் இத்தகைய பிரதமர் எதிர்ப்பு வேலைகளில் எதிர்கட்சிகள் கவனம் செலுத்த மாட்டார்கள் என எதிர் பார்ப்போம்.   02-ஜன-2023 13:15:19 IST
