In India, government jobs are highly sought after for their stability, job security, post-retirement benefits, and housing facilities.

The competition for these positions is intense, requiring significant dedication.

Here are six key government exams for graduates:

1. UPSC: The Union Public Service Commission exam is one of India's most esteemed and challenging exams, with a success rate of only 0.1%. It includes Prelims and Mains, leading to prestigious roles like IAS, IPS, and IFS.

2. SSC CGL Exam: The Staff Selection Commission's Combined Graduate Level exam has two stages. Tier-1 assesses general awareness, reasoning, quantitative aptitude, and English, while Tier-2 focuses on specific subjects, offering positions such as tax assistant and auditor.

3. CTET: The Central Teacher Eligibility Test, conducted twice annually by CBSE, certifies candidates for teaching positions in government and private schools. Paper 1 qualifies candidates for primary classes, while Paper 2 is for elementary classes.

4. RRB NTPC: The Railway Recruitment Board's Non-Technical Popular Categories exam offers non-technical positions in Indian Railways, including station masters and junior clerks.

5. Banking Exams: Various exams, such as SBI, IBPS, RBI, and NABARD, are conducted for roles in the banking sector, including probationary officer and clerk positions.

6. AFCAT: The Air Force Common Admission Test, conducted by the Air Force Selection Board, recruits candidates for flying and ground staff roles, involving a written test and an interview process.
