Chennai / B'luru: 'Namma Yatri', an Indian open mobility app, has launched the "Namma Yatri Rising Stars" scholarship program to support the education of auto and cab drivers' children in Chennai and Bengaluru.

The initiative offers financial assistance to 10th and 12th-grade students, recognizing their academic achievements and helping them pursue higher education.

The program aims to benefit over 500 students annually, including Bhavana, a standout recipient from Bengaluru who scored 625/625 in her SSLC exam.

Scholarships were awarded at events in both cities, with notable attendees like Mr. T. Abraham IAS, and Mr. M. Arun Prakash.

The initiative reflects Namma Yatri's commitment to driver welfare, including zero-commission rides and financial education.

Plans are underway to expand the program and collaborate with government bodies and corporations to benefit more students.
