Delhi: The Chairman of the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), Shri Ravi Aggarwal, has launched a nationwide Behavioral Sensitization program during Karmayogi Saptaah, also known as National Learning Week.
This initiative aims to enhance the service delivery and public interaction skills of around 35,000 officials across various levels within the CBIC, including Inspectors, Superintendents, Assistant Commissioners, and Deputy Commissioners.
The program, rolled out in 52 batches across all 32 zones of CBIC, focuses on improving behavioral skills and sensitivity to foster a more empathetic and responsive workforce.
An external knowledge partner has been engaged to design and implement the training program, ensuring its effectiveness and impact.
NACIN (National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes & Narcotics) and the Zonal Training Institutes (ZTIs) will play key roles in the program's execution.
By strengthening behavioral competencies, the CBIC aims to improve governance and align with the broader objectives of the Karmayogi initiative, which emphasizes continuous professional development.
This effort highlights CBIC's commitment to creating a workforce that is both efficient and sensitive to the needs of the public.
