New Delhi: Education New Zealand Manapou ki te Ao (ENZ) hosted a dynamic Sustainability Carnival at the New Zealand High Commission, New Delhi, concluding its #SustainableTomorrow campaign.
This initiative emphasized integrating sustainable practices into education while inspiring individual contributions toward a sustainable future.
A centerpiece of the campaign was a digital poster design competition for Indian high school students themed Innovating for a Sustainable Future. The competition spotlighted key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Affordable and Clean Energy (Goal 7), Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (Goal 9), Responsible Consumption and Production (Goal 12), and Climate Action (Goal 13). Winning entries, unveiled during the event, included:
Winner: Myra Jain, GD Goenka Public School, New Delhi
1st Runner-Up: Nayna Mitra, The British School, New Delhi
2nd Runner-Up: Oishani Gupta, Heritage International Xperiential School, Gurugram
The People's Choice Award went to Yuvaditya Jain (DPS RK Puram) and Annya Shukla (Sunbeam Suncity School).
The carnival featured interactive stalls from leading institutions such as Ashoka University and DPS RK Puram, showcasing sustainable fashion, paper recycling, and responsible consumerism.
New Zealand High Commissioner Patrick Rata emphasized, “ENZ champions sustainable education, fostering global collaboration and individual action for a better tomorrow.”
The #SustainableTomorrow campaign highlights New Zealand's commitment to embedding sustainability across curricula and campus initiatives, strengthening its role as a global leader in sustainable education.
