Chennai: Prime Minister Modi's third term has seen significant projects initiated within the first 100 days, aimed at advancing healthcare, education, and research.
Key initiatives include the expansion of the Ayushman Bharat insurance scheme to benefit senior citizens, the launch of the Yuvin portal for child vaccination registration, and the removal of customs duties on cancer medications.
The central government has also increased the health sector budget from ₹31,550 crores to ₹36,000 crores for the fiscal year 2024-25, with plans to create 75,000 new medical posts over the next five years.
In the education and research sectors, new milestones have been reached with the inauguration of a new campus for Nalanda University, focusing on education, science, and bio-research. Additionally, the government has introduced the Anusandhan National Research Fund, the Vigyan Tara Project, and the BioE3 policy, further strengthening India's research and innovation landscape.
These initiatives mark significant achievements under Modi's leadership in his third term.
