Chennai: The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), under the Ministry of Textiles, GoI has launched Paridhi 24x25, India's first bilingual fashion trend book, alongside a dedicated web portal.

The initiative, unveiled on September 5, 2024, by the Honourable Minister of Textiles at New Delhi's Taj Mahal Hotel, marks a significant step in trend forecasting tailored for India's diverse fashion market.

Developed by VisioNxt, NIFT's pioneering platform, the project integrates artificial and emotional intelligence to map the complexities of Indian fashion. It empowers businesses, designers, artisans, and retailers with insights unique to the Indian consumer, reducing reliance on global forecasting agencies.

Since its launch, Paridhi 24x25 has recorded over 2,000 e-book downloads and nearly 23,000 website visits. VisioNxt has delivered 60+ microtrend reports, 10+ close-to-season forecasts, and India's first AI taxonomy book on 75 Indian wear categories.

A robust dataset of 70,000 apparel images and 280,000 secondary visuals further supports its research.

The AI lab, established at NIFT Chennai, trains students in trend spotting and ethical data collection, fostering innovation and skill development.

By merging technology and tradition, VisioNxt positions India as a global leader in trend forecasting.
