New Delhi: The ninth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's annual interaction programme Pariksha Pe Charcha will be held in January 2026, with registrations open till January 11, Ministry of Education officials said on Saturday.

Students, parents and teachers from India and abroad will participate in the programme to discuss exam-related stress and view examinations as a positive celebration of learning, said a senior official.

For the selection of participants, an online multiple-choice question-based competition is being conducted on the MyGov portal from December 1 to January 11. Students from Classes 6 to 12, along with teachers and parents, are eligible to participate.

The eighth edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha was held on February 10 this year at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi and featured 36 students from across states and Union Territories. It also included separate thematic episodes on sports, discipline, mental health, nutrition, technology, finance, creativity and positivity.

In 2025, the programme set a Guinness World Record with participation from students in over 245 countries. Registrations have grown from 22,000 in 2018 to 3.56 crore in the eighth edition.
