Coimbatore: The charitable trust, Aravanaippu aims to provide education for underprivileged children in the coming years.
It plans to fund the education of at least 25,000 children in the next five years.
The president,S.K. Elangovan told a press conference here recently that the trust had already funded the education of more than 1,600 children and had allotted Rs. 20 lakh for the purpose.
The trust helped the poor students at school level and even those who wished to pursue higher education such as engineering and medicine.
The trust is ready to fund any child who is very poor or has lost his father or mother or is either physically or mentally disabled, the president told.
The trust could be approached for getting funds for education if the applicant has the necessary evidence to prove whether he\she falls into any one of these categories.
Like-minded people willing to volunteer in educating the poor are invited to lend a helping hand.
