Cuttack: The results of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination conducted by the OrissaBoard of Secondary Education (BSE) was published today with 60.09 per cent students clearing the exams and boys pipping the girls in pass percentage.
At least 63.41 per cent regular students have passed the examination, while the overall pass percentage in both regular and ex-regular stream this year has been 60.09, which is slightly more than the previous year, official sources said after publication of results.
While 65.42 per cent boys cleared the exams, the pass rate of girls is pegged at 61.26 per cent.
Of the passed students, 43399 made it in first division, 71942 in second division while the remaining made it in third division.
Bibek Bishal Mehena of Rourkela Saraswati Vidyamandir and Sanket Dash of Berhampur Saraswati Sishu Mandir have jointly secured the first position in the state securing 574 marks out of a possible 600 (95.66 per cent).
The board this year for the first time has declared a list of top hundred students.
