New Delhi: The Russian Education Agency, a joint initiative of Synergy Corporation and Innopraktika.India, on Thursday opened its branch office in New Delhi with an aim to deepen cultural and educational cooperation between India and Russia and facilitate Indian students seeking admission to Russian universities.
The agency said the New Delhi office will act as a dedicated support centre for Indian applicants by providing end-to-end assistance, including guidance on selection of academic programmes and universities, completion of admission procedures, visa support and handling of necessary documentation.
The initiative is expected to simplify and streamline the admission process for Indian students aspiring to pursue higher education in Russia.
Speaking at the launch, Synergy Corporation President Vadim Lobov said many Indian students who studied in Russia have emerged as strong ambassadors of friendship between the two nations. He said Russian universities continue to uphold the legacy of the Soviet higher education system, which has long enjoyed respect in India.
The agency currently collaborates with several leading Russian universities and plans to expand its footprint in India with proposed branches in Mumbai and Chennai in 2026. It aims to facilitate the enrolment of over 10,000 Indian students in Russian universities next year.
As part of its cultural outreach, the agency will promote the Russian language and introduce themed educational activities in Indian schools. On the day of the launch, the first set of interactive lessons titled “Bridge of Friendship: Russia and India” was conducted in Delhi schools, attracting participation from over 1,000 students. Similar sessions will be held across the country.
First Deputy CEO of Innopraktika Natalia Popova said the agency's focus extends beyond information-sharing to guiding students through documentation and supporting their cultural adaptation. The agency said sustained interest in Russian education reflects strengthening humanitarian ties between the two nations.
