Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday said the state government plans to fill 40,000 more job vacancies by mid-2026, taking the total to one lakh since the Congress government assumed office.

Speaking at a public meeting in Husnabad, Siddipet district, as part of the government's second anniversary celebrations, Reddy said job creation was a key objective of the Telangana statehood movement. “We created 60,000 jobs in the first year of our tenure. By filling one lakh vacancies before completing two-and-a-half years in office, we are proving that this is a people's government fulfilling people's aspirations,” he said.

The chief minister said invitations had been sent to Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Mallikarjun Kharge, as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union ministers, to attend the 'Telangana Rising Global Summit' scheduled for December 8 and 9.

Referring to the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, Reddy urged people to compare its construction quality with the Sriram Sagar Project developed during Nehru's tenure. He also appealed to voters in gram panchayat elections to elect candidates who would work with the government to ensure village development.
