Chennai: Three Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have made it to the list of the world's top 100 management education institutions.

London-based Quacquerelli Symonds (QS), which studies the activities of higher education institutions globally, publishes an annual ranking. The current year's university ranking list was released in June. Several leading educational institutions from India featured prominently in the overall rankings.

QS has also released the ranking for institutions providing management education worldwide. In the global ranking, the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, USA, topped the list, followed by Harvard Business School at second place and MIT Sloan at third.

The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, which was ranked 53rd last year, has moved up one place to 52nd this year. IIM Ahmedabad in Gujarat has risen to 58th, while IIM Kolkata in West Bengal has moved up to 64th.

Overall, a total of 14 management education institutions from India have featured in the global rankings, reflecting the growing presence and recognition of Indian management education on the world stage.
