Chennai: Tamil Nadu has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with ANSR, a global leader in establishing and scaling Global Capability Centres (GCCs) for Fortune 500 companies, the government said.

The partnership marks a major step in strengthening Tamil Nadu's position as a leading destination for technology, innovation and high-value global services. Leveraging the state's dedicated GCC policy, strong employability and rapidly growing tech workforce, the collaboration with ANSR is expected to attract significant investments, enhance innovation capabilities and create over 10,000 high-value GCC jobs, a press release said.

Industries Minister TRB Rajaa said ANSR will help bring the next wave of global corporations and that the government will support them through policy enablement, fast approvals, site selection and talent linkages. He said Tamil Nadu aims to become the world's most competitive GCC destination, noting that global companies across technology, automotive, BFSI, engineering, aerospace and retail have already chosen the state due to its talent, infrastructure and stable governance.

As part of the MoU, Guidance Tamil Nadu MD and CEO Dr Darez Ahamed exchanged documents with ANSR Founder and CEO Lalit Ahuja in the presence of the Minister.

ANSR has established over 200 GCCs and brings 21 years of operational experience, including support for more than 12 million sq ft of real estate infrastructure. Its expertise spans AI engineering, cybersecurity, product development, digital commerce, R&D and data science.

Ahuja said Tamil Nadu has all the ingredients to become the world's most competitive GCC destination, citing strong talent, world-class infrastructure, progressive governance and a thriving innovation ecosystem. He said the company looks forward to bringing the next generation of global enterprises to the state.

The MoU represents a significant step in Tamil Nadu's efforts to become a premier global GCC hub, reinforcing its commitment to a future-ready digital economy that supports innovation, competitiveness and inclusive growth, the release added.
