சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட் முன்னாள் தலைமை நீதிபதி சந்திரசூட், 2000ம் ஆண்டு மும்பை ஐகோர்ட் நீதிபதியாக பணியாற்றியவர். 2013ல் அலகாபாத் ஐகோர்ட் தலைமை நீதிபதியான அவர், 2016 மே 13ல் சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட் நீதிபதியாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார். 2022ல் சுப்ரீம் கோர்ட்டின் தலைமை நீதிபதியாக பதவி உயர்வு பெற்ற சந்திரசூட்
I am a retired Addl Secretary to Govt. of India. Normally a retired servant is allowed to retain the quarter for 2 months after retirement at the same rate. Any extension for genuine reasons is granted by the authority at special rent. This is very common and many people requiring extension apply for it and get it. I am surprised media is exaggerating the situation as if the ex Chief Justice has committed a crime Alternative accommodation allotted to him is not ready. His daughters are with special needs and the accommodation is to be made sui for their use. I request the Press to report responsibly and not to sully the name of a Judge whose judgements might have affected certain quarters directly or indirectly. There are people who retain the accommodation for long periods.
