Temple History :Parashakthi Temple erected according to Indian Culture and as per Veda-Agamas and Dravidian architecture and followed the system of Hinduism. Nearly 180 years ago, there was a small temple and the farmers came from India to work in the sugarcane field and the residents of this place worshipped the small deity.In 1997, one kind hearted man named Sri S.S. Amugra Pillai gave the site on which the present temple is constructed. Immediately the construction work started in that year. consecration festival done on 6th July 2003. The sub deities are Sri Muthu Vinayagar, Srimatis Saptha Mathas, Sri Dhandapani, Sri Karuppar and Devajas Sambamam. The bronze statues were brought from India. The Prime deity, Parashakthi Peedam Kali, is about 6 ¼ feet with 10 hands in sitting position with a pleasing and glorious face. In the ceilings, detailed explanation about Vasthu is given and all the pillars bearing the philosophy of Lord Ganesa and Subramania in motor. So much gigantic figure of statues is nowhere erected. These are special features of the temple. Two time poojas are conducted and thousands of people visiting the temple and happy in good result that they obtained in their prayer. The administration is composed as follows: Sivasri Swami Umapathy Sivachariar – Founder President and Head Priest of the Temple who is with us for the last 17 yrs Thirumati Mrs Arumuga Pillay – President Thiru Ganessan Chengan – Secretary Thiru Thiruvenkadam – Treasurer Monthly prayers: Sankatahara Chaturthi, Karthigai in every month and Pownami Pooja on New Moon day. Annual poojas: Tamil New year, Vinaayagar Chathurti, Navaraathri, Skanda Shashti, Vinayagar Shashthi and Thaipoosam Caavadee. Temple opened by 07 00 Hours to Noon and 15 00 Hours to 18 00 Hours.
