The implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2022 by the central government is a significant and commendable step towards addressing the nation's educational needs. Notably, the introduction of the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) system is a pivotal feature of this policy.

Key features of NEP 2022:
The NEP 2022 allows higher education students to take a break due to financial or personal reasons without losing their progress. This policy enables students to pause their studies, receive recognition for their work in the form of certificates or diplomas, and later resume their education at the same or a different institution from where they left off. This flexibility prevents students from starting over, saving both time and money.

The policy emphasizes innovative thinking, research, and a multidisciplinary approach to education, which are crucial in today's world. Students have the opportunity to study diverse fields such as Biology, Music, Liberal Arts, and Engineering.

Furthermore, universities are encouraged to engage with industrial companies beyond just internships and placements. This collaboration spans curriculum design to the delivery and enhancement of education. By aligning with industry needs, universities can fulfill their primary mission of imparting new knowledge, as facilitated by the new educational policy.

Embracing online education:
In a country with a vast population, integrating technology into education is essential. Online education accreditation can significantly impact the educational landscape. The rise in patents for new inventions reflects the positive changes in the educational environment. Such advancements will undoubtedly transform India into a nation with exceptional human resources.

Quality is not compromised in online education. Many reputable foreign educational institutions effectively offer online programs. Technology-enabled education promises transparency, quality learning, positive outcomes, and improved employment opportunities.

The notion that quality education is confined to the classroom is changing. Education should be viewed not merely as a means to employment but as a catalyst for national development. When quality education is provided, employment opportunities naturally follow. Additionally, education should not be treated as a profitable business but as a vital resource for the country's growth.
