Science processes help students understand scientific concepts and develop practical knowledge through experiments and field experiences. According to the National Curriculum Guidelines, they should be designed to relate science to the environment around them and develop scientific thinking.

Rather than just teaching theories, science processes show students how to apply scientific concepts in practice. Students learn science by conducting experiments and through field experiences in their classrooms. Students are encouraged to understand scientific phenomena in their surroundings and learn science through them. Science processes improve students' scientific thinking and problem-solving skills.

The State Science Board designs science curricula at the state level and encourages students to engage in science activities. In the state curriculum, science processes are assessed as part of the public examination and students' scientific knowledge is tested. It has been recommended that science teaching be modernized to prioritize student skill development.

The scientific method refers to the process of students asking a question, doing research, formulating a hypothesis, and then testing the hypothesis through an experiment.

Steps of the Scientific Method:
Ask a question → Do background research → Formulate a hypothesis → Conduct an experiment → Analyze data → Draw conclusions → Communicate results

In learning about the scientific method, such an approach will help students develop their scientific skills.

Laboratory Experiment Approach
Making science teaching meaningful, effective, engaging, and understandable requires more than just delivering lectures. Teachers must also provide opportunities for students to practice what they are learning.

One of the most important and widespread goals of school education is to teach students to think. To this end, the study of science contributes its unique skills.
