Started in the year 1987, till today for 37 years, we, National Model Schools have been strictly following a policy. A policy not to compare students for any reason!
A student's current performance may be compared with his past performance, but one student's performance should never be compared to another student's. Because every student has unique abilities.
Marks alone is not enough:
Today, admission to higher education institutes is carried out on the basis of marks secured by students in general examinations and entrance examinations.
In such an environment, emphasis on marks is inevitable. However, scoring high is not enough in today's era. It is very important to develop worldly knowledge.
Therefore, we emphasize on other skill development and teaching of life essentials. We focus on developing leadership qualities and preparing children to speak confidently on stage.
Many alumni of our schools are working in various high positions in the country like IAS, IPS, High Court Judge.
We conduct a special mentoring program once a month with them as special guests. As a result, it increases the motivation of the current students. Such events also form the foundation for making the future better.
Failure is part of life:
Many students of today are scared of failure. Failure is a part of life. Failure is not the end of life. Success will come in the next stages... till then you have to be patient and not lose heart.
With so much information pouring online today, teachers have to do more than just being a facilitator, but also a guide. Today it is necessary to teach how, why and importantly when to use mobile, tab and laptop.
Modern technological equipment facilitates the learning environment for students. But schools should not force students to learn all advanced technologies. It is enough to teach them only the necessary technologies for life.
