The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board has announced the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026 for teachers working in government, government-aided, and recognised private schools. The exam is mandatory for temporary and graduate teachers to retain eligibility, secure permanent appointments, and qualify for promotions.

Papers and Syllabus
Paper 1 - Primary Level (Classes I-V):
Subjects include Child Development and Pedagogy, Tamil, English, Mathematics, and Environmental Science.

Paper 2 - Middle Level (Classes VI-VIII):
Subjects include Child Development and Teaching Methods, Tamil, English, and either Mathematics and Science or Social Science, based on specialization.

Exam Pattern
Each paper will have 150 objective-type questions. The duration of each exam is three hours. The test evaluates both subject knowledge and teaching ability.

Applications must be submitted online through the Teachers Recruitment Board portal. Candidates should complete the process carefully and ensure all details are correct.
