Established in the year 2012 to offer fisheries studies in Tamil Nadu, this exclusive university focuses on higher education, research, and nutritional food safety.
Introduction:
Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) is a government Fisheries University situated in Nagapattinam, Tamil Nadu, India, under which 10 Research & Training are functioning in various parts of the state.
These institutes offer fisheries-related studies to several undergraduate, postgraduate and research programmes. Currently, students who have studied science-related subjects in class 12 can apply for admission to undergraduate courses.

How to Apply: For UG programmes, you can apply through the university website www.tnjfu.ac.in/ugadmissions.php along with the necessary documents.
Special reservation is available for ex-servicemen, differently-abled persons, children of freedom fighters, students who studied in Tamil Nadu Government schools and children of fishermen families. NRIs can also apply for B.F.Sc., and B.Tech.- Fisheries Engineering Programme.
