Jalandhar: Lovely Professional University (LPU) celebrates a remarkable achievement as 34 of its faculty members are listed among the world's top 2% scientists by Stanford University, marking a significant increase from last year's 22.

Two LPU faculty members earned the 2nd rank in India for their contributions to Artificial Intelligence & Image Processing and Food Science.

The recognition, part of a globally recognized list compiled by Stanford, highlights the most influential researchers worldwide. It acknowledges the pioneering work of LPU's faculty in diverse fields such as AI, image processing, pharmacology, and materials science.

LPU Founder Chancellor Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal expressed his pride, stating this recognition showcases the institution's dedication to advancing impactful research.

The faculty's achievements span 17 research domains, including sustainable energy, environmental sciences, and telecommunications.

LPU's growing influence in global research is further cemented by its faculty's contributions to critical areas like AI, biotechnology, and medicinal chemistry. The acknowledgment reflects the university's commitment to fostering innovation and advancing scientific progress.

This subject-specific evaluation was conducted by a Stanford and Elsevier BV team, analyzing key scientific metrics such as citations and the H-index.
