Delhi: The World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025 introduces 'City Quest: Shades of Bharat,' an innovative educational game designed to engage players with India's urban sustainability progress.

Part of the Create in India Challenge - Season 1, this game transforms Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into an interactive experience.

City Quest compares 56 Indian cities on key SDG metrics using NITI Aayog's Urban Index (2021). Players compete using city cards with six parameters, including Hunger Index, Health, and Gender Equality. The game debuted at IIT Bombay's E-Summit 2025, generating enthusiasm among students.

The E-Gaming Federation (EGF), in collaboration with the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, is driving this initiative. Winners will be felicitated at WAVES 2025 in Mumbai from May 1-4.

The game is now available for free on Google Play, making sustainability education fun and accessible.
