Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin inaugurated the two-day Information Technology Summit, Umagine TN 2025, at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam.

Organized by the Department of Information Technology and Digital Services in collaboration with industry leaders, the event held on 9 & 10 Jan 2025 aims to position Tamil Nadu as a trillion-dollar economy through cutting-edge technological innovation.

Originally announced during the 2021-2022 state budget, Umagine has been a yearly initiative showcasing Tamil Nadu's advancements in information technology.

Following the success of the 2023 and 2024 editions, this year's summit continues the tradition, featuring discussions on key topics such as Artificial Intelligence, climate change, global tech ecosystems, animation, and electric vehicles.

The event includes a grand exhibition highlighting Tamil Nadu's IT achievements and global collaborations. Over 100 tech experts and more than 10,000 attendees are expected to participate.

Chief Minister Stalin toured the exhibition halls and inaugurated the summit in the presence of Dr. Palanivel Thiagarajan, Minister for Digital Services, and senior officials, including Kumar Jayant and Govinda Rao.

Industry leaders like CII South Zone President Nandini and Soft Materials Technology Park Director Aravinda Kumar also attended, along with diplomats and government representatives.
