Chennai: The CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO) Chennai Centre hosted the successful Technologist Industrialist Meet & Expo Energy (TIMEE - 2024) as part of the One Week One Theme - Energy & Energy Devices (OWOT-EED) initiative.

The event gathered prominent scientists, technologists, and industrialists to discuss advancements in energy technologies.

Dr. A. Robert Sam, Scientist-in-Charge, welcomed attendees, while Prof. Shantanu Bhattacharya, Director of CSIR-CSIO, emphasized collaboration.

Chief Guest Prof. Ashok Pandey highlighted the importance of the energy sector for India.

Keynotes from Mr. Rajan Luthra of Reliance Industries and Mr. Rakesh Swami of Godrej underscored the sector's impact on the economy.

The event featured MoU signings, technical presentations on CO2 mitigation, carbon capture, gasifiers, batteries, and solar cells, and a panel discussion on leveraging energy technology.
