Durga from Mannargudi, Thiruvarur district, recently received her appointment as the Municipal Commissioner of Thiruthuraipoondi.

She is the daughter of a sanitation worker and achieved this milestone through Tamil Nadu government schemes and the TNPSC exam.

In response to Durga's achievement, Chief Minister Stalin highlighted her success as a testament to the transformative power of education noting that Durga's journey from being the daughter of a sanitation worker to becoming a municipal commissioner underscores education's potential to uplift and advance individuals and their families.
