Chennai: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), through its Board of Studies (BOS) and in collaboration with the Southern India Regional Council (SIRC) and Southern India Chartered Accountants Students Association (SICASA), hosted a National Conference titled "VIYUGAM - NAVIGATING NEW FRONTIERS" on August 3, 2024.

The event was graced by Chief Guest Thiru. Sivarajah Ramanathan, CEO of Startup TN, and Guest of Honor R. Bhupathy, former ICAI President (2003-2004).

The two-day conference featured technical sessions where students presented research papers on topics relevant to industry and economy, guided by subject experts.

Notable sessions included talks by luminaries like CA M. P. Vijaya Kumar and G. Sekar, as well as motivational addresses by prominent CFOs, such as CA Satish Gadulla of Mangal Industries and CA Sarvanan P of Sagent Technologies.

During the inaugural session, Thiru Sivarajah highlighted the significant role Chartered Accountants play in shaping the startup ecosystem, emphasizing the need for future professionals to stay adaptable amidst evolving laws and policies.

The event provided valuable insights and inspiration to the students, reinforcing the importance of professional acumen in navigating the dynamic landscape of modern business.
