Lucknow: Indian Institute of Management Lucknow (IIM Lucknow) marked its 40th Foundation Day with a series of celebratory events attended by faculty, staff, students, and distinguished guests. The day began with a tree plantation drive on campus, emphasizing the institute's commitment to sustainability.

Prof. Archana Shukla, Director-in-Charge, highlighted the institute's growth from a small group to a leading institution.

She praised the ongoing initiatives such as the startup incubator supporting 111 ventures and the newly established Centre of Excellence for Blockchain Technology, aimed at fostering over 100 startups in Uttar Pradesh. The Centre of Happiness was also noted for its focus on mental well-being.

The festivities included a grand evening event honoring employees with 25 years of service and a vibrant cultural program. Prof. Vikas Srivastava, Dean (Programmes), celebrated the milestone as a step towards further achievements and expressed gratitude to the institute's community for their dedication.

Leading up to the Foundation Day, IIM Lucknow hosted a month-long series of sports events, including swimming, powerlifting, and badminton, culminating in a prize distribution on July 25, 2024. The celebrations will conclude with a Foundation Day lecture by Mr. Nitin Seth, IIM Lucknow alumnus and CEO of Incedo Inc., on July 30, 2024.

Established in 1984, IIM Lucknow is the fourth institute in the IIM family, following IIM Calcutta, IIM Ahmedabad, and IIM Bangalore.
