Chennai: IIT Madras' eXperiential Technology Innovation Centre (XTIC) will host India's first Academia-Industry supported 'eXtended Reality' (XR) Summit on 16-17 November 2024.
This landmark event will bring together global leaders in augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies at a critical time of rapid digital transformation.
The Summit, set at IIT Madras, will address the growing skill gaps in experiential technologies while highlighting India's advancements in the 'Digital India' initiative.
Esteemed keynote speakers include Prof. Steve LaValle, co-founder of Oculus, Prof. Mandayam Srinivasan of MIT's Haptics Lab, and Prof. Mel Slater, an expert in XR psychology.
XTIC is India's first research and product innovation center for AR, VR, MR, and haptics. It aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students and researchers, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
The event will also feature an exclusive partnership with the Augmented World Expo (AWE) and networking opportunities with industrialists and global experts.
