New Delhi: On World Day of Social Justice, Jindal Global Law School (JGLS) launched the K.K. Luthra & Nirmal Luthra Centre for Comparative Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Studies to honor the legacy of K.K. Luthra, a renowned criminal law advocate, and Nirmal Luthra.

Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal emphasized the need for social and legal equality, highlighting philanthropy's role in achieving justice. The Centre, funded by Sidharth Luthra, Geeta Luthra, and Meera Luthra, will focus on research, policy reform, legal training, and public engagement.

Key initiatives include annual academic medals, international conferences, judicial dialogues, research fellowships, and capacity-building workshops. The launch was attended by legal luminaries, Supreme Court judges, and global scholars, including experts from Oxford and Cambridge.

JGU Chancellor Naveen Jindal and Vice Chancellor C. Raj Kumar lauded the initiative, calling it a milestone in global criminal law research and justice reform.
