Rajkot: Marwadi University, a leading private institution from Gujarat, has made an impressive debut in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026, securing the 353rd rank — the highest debut rank ever achieved by any Indian university.

With this milestone, Marwadi University has emerged as Gujarat's top private university and one of India's leading private institutions in the QS rankings. The university is also Asia's youngest private university to make its debut in the top 400.

The QS Asia Rankings, compiled by global higher education analyst QS Quacquarelli Symonds, evaluate institutions based on academic reputation, employer reputation, research output, faculty-student ratio, and international diversity. Marwadi University also secured a position among the Top 100 universities in Asia for internationalization and faculty quality, underscoring its growing global presence and academic standards.

Accredited with NAAC A+ and NBA, the Rajkot-based university recently featured among India's Top 150 institutions in NIRF 2025, further solidifying its reputation as one of the country's most promising centres for higher education.
