Chennai: Prof. Sachidananda Mohanty, a Member of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Education, delivered a lecture on the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, highlighting its challenges and opportunities.

The event, held on September 18, 2024, offered insights into the transformative goals of the NEP, particularly its focus on holistic, multidisciplinary education and equitable access to quality education.

Prof. Mohanty discussed the policy's potential to reshape India's educational system, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity and flexibility.

In his presidential address, Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu, Vice-Chancellor (i/c), expressed gratitude to Prof. Mohanty for his significant contributions to education and reaffirmed the policy's role in shaping the country's educational future.
