Chennai: The Plus 2 public examinations commenced across Tamil Nadu on Monday, with 8.21 lakh students appearing for the tests.

According to official data, a total of 8,21,057 students, including 4.24 lakh girls, are writing the exams at 3,316 centres across the state.

The examinations will continue till March 25, with the Tamil language paper scheduled as the first exam.

The state government has directed officials to provide special concessions, including an additional hour, for differently-abled students.
