Chennai: The Tamil Nadu School Education Department has rolled out the 'Level Up' scheme to enhance English language skills among students of Classes 6 to 8 in government schools across the state.

The initiative aims to bridge learning gaps in English proficiency by helping students read two- and three-letter words, comprehend their meanings, and use them in sentences. A structured, month-wise curriculum has been developed for implementation in classrooms.

Director of School Education, Kannappan, has instructed all Chief Educational Officers to set learning targets, track student progress, and evaluate the effectiveness of the scheme through regular monitoring.
