New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medica Science (AIIMS) has begun the process to find its new head as the present Director is superannuating on January 31 next year.
 
In a statement, the premier institution said "AIIMS has notified the forthcoming vacancy of Director, AIIMS on October 1".
 
Dr M C Mishra is the Director of the country's premier institution.
 
"The last date for submission of applications is November 15. The age of eligibility for applying for the position is 62 years as on November 15. Applicants are requested to send their completed application forms to V Srinivas, the Deputy Director Administration of AIIMS," the statement said.
 
AIIMS is celebrating its diamond jubilee and Misra on its Foundation Day last month had said, "In 60 years of its journey, AIIMS has grown in strength thanks to the sheer dedication of our former directors who shaped this institution."
 
Union Minister J P Nadda on the occasion had said, "It is the apex medical institution in the country. And, the government is committed to raising its stature up further."
