Chennai: In a significant development, Anna University, Chennai, has signed an agreement with Ministry of Education, Ethiopia paving the way for Ethiopian students to pursue research at the esteemed institution.

Anna University, Chennai, has entered into a landmark agreement with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Innovation and Technology of Ethiopia.

This collaboration will enable Ethiopian students to reside in Chennai and commence their research studies at Anna University.

The initiative is part of Ethiopia's broader efforts to enhance educational opportunities and support the development of its scholars.

Anna University, ranked first among state universities in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), was chosen for its research excellence and academic standing.

Speaking about the partnership, Professor Dr. Krishnaraj Ramaswamy, Principal Scientific Adviser, emphasized that the collaboration will foster international technology transfer and generate new data through innovative research.

Expressing their gratitude, Ethiopian students and scholars thanked International Director Prof. Bhaskaran and Joint PhD Program Coordinator Prof. Dr. Krishnaraj for facilitating this unique opportunity for academic and research exchange.
