Chennai: The Indian Army has invited applications for recruitment under the Agniveer scheme, with the last date for submission set for April 10.

The Agniveer scheme, introduced by the central government to enhance youth participation in the armed forces, offers a four-year service tenure. Candidates who have completed Class 10 are eligible to apply.

Recruitment will be conducted across various categories, including Agniveer (Technical Service), Agniveer (General Service), Sepoy, Clerk, and Havildar. Selection will be based on a written examination, physical fitness test, medical assessment, and document verification.
