Artisan Trainers Training scheme admissions open for 2026-27

Chennai: The Directorate General of Training (DGT) under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship has announced admissions to the Artisan Trainers Training Scheme (ATTS) for the academic year 2026-27, according to an official release issued by PIB Chennai on Tuesday.
The training will be offered through National Skill Training Centres (NSTCs) and Training Centres for Trainers (TCTs) across the country. The scheme aims to create a pool of qualified instructors for Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), thereby strengthening vocational education and meeting industry demand for skilled manpower.
The programme is available in 42 trades.
Candidates who have completed National Trade Certificate (NTC), National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC), Diploma, Degree or B.Tech courses, as well as those appearing for their final-year examinations, are eligible to apply.
