Itanagar: The Arunachal Pradesh government has teamed up with IIT-Delhi to provide college students and recent graduates with industry-relevant skills in artificial intelligence (AI), officials said on Thursday.

The programme, set to begin in the second week of January in Itanagar, will offer intensive offline training combining classroom learning with hands-on project work. Sessions will be conducted for two hours daily over five to six weeks.

The curriculum covers AI and machine learning fundamentals, data analysis and visualisation, Python-based AI project development, and career preparation modules including resume building. Officials said the course is designed to help participants build real-world projects and acquire skills in demand across emerging tech-driven industries.

The programme is fully government-sponsored and free of cost. Registration is open, with interested candidates required to apply by January 4.

The state's Information Technology Department has collaborated with IIT-Delhi's Technology Innovation Hub to deliver the training. “The objective is to ensure that talented youth from Arunachal Pradesh have direct access to high-quality AI training without financial barriers,” an official said.
