Chengalpattu: The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister's morining breakfast programme now operation in government primary schools within Chengalpattu district will now be extended to governement aided schools in the same districts.
Under this scheme, 46,473 students from 665 government schools in the panchayat unions of Achirubakkam, Madhuranthakam, Chittamur, Lattur, Thirukkalukunram, Tirupporur, Kattangolattur, and Punithomaiyarmalai are receiving breakfast.
Recently, the government expanded this initiative to include students from classes 1 to 5 in government-aided schools. This extension will benefit an additional 3,933 students across 61 government-aided schools in the district.
A meeting to discuss the implementation of this program was chaired by Collector Arunraj.
District Supply Officer Sakitha Parveen and District Elementary Education Officer Aravindan and few other officials attended the meeting.
