Chennai: Results of the Class 10 board examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education are expected to be announced next week, according to sources.
Around 25 lakh students appeared for Class 10 and 18.5 lakh for Class 12 examinations across the country, with the exams held during February and March this year. In previous years, results were declared in May, but this year an earlier announcement is anticipated.
The early release is linked to the introduction of a second examination opportunity under the new education policy, allowing Class 10 students to improve their scores in subjects such as Mathematics, Science and Social Science. The supplementary exams are scheduled for next month.
Students, particularly from states like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Kerala, who have consistently performed well, are eagerly awaiting the results.
The results will be available on official websites including cbse.gov.in, results.nic.in, results.digilocker.gov.in and umang.gov.in, where students can access their scores using their roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth.
